What We believe

We develop fully-devoted followers of Christ, who live in fullness everyday and give life away.

A fully devoted follower of Christ is someone who is growing continually in a richer and deeper relationship with God while exemplifying an increasing love for others. We seek to empower people through our 4-step process: Get Planted, Grow Roots, Branch Out, & Reproduce.
Life Giving - We are full of the life & energy of God
Excellence- We go the extra mile
Culture of honor - It's a big deal
Generosity- We love to give because we live to give
Creativity- the church should be the most creative place on the planet
Spirit of Faith- we believe God for the impossible
At Grace Life Church we believe in salvation through Jesus Christ.
We also believe in water baptism as an outward sign of an inward happening.

Bruce W. SChafer, Jr

Pastor Buck attended Oral Roberts University and is licensed and ordained through Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, OK.  Over the past 23 years he has traveled the world, planted churches, and ministered to thousands.

Amy schafer

Pastor Amy is also an alumnus of Rhema, as well as co-founder of Grace Life Church and lead of GLC's Flourish Sisterhood. You can watch her regularly on Cornerstone Television Network as a co-host of "Real Life," and as a cast member of "Sister to Sister."

Pastors Bruce and Amy Schafer moved to Pittsburgh from Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1997 with the hope of planting a life-giving church that would reach Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities with the good news of Jesus Christ.

They held their first service on Easter Sunday, March 30th, 1997, with a group of 36 devoted friends and family members in a conference room at the Radisson Inn in Monroeville. After many years of renting space and attempting to build the church body by casting vision, developing leaders, and reaching out to the local communities, they
were given the opportunity to own their own building and to give Grace Life Church a permanent home in May of 2011. Through much dedication and many work hours by a core group of Grace Life members, Pastor Buck and Pastor Amy Schafer held their first service open to the public on December 2nd, 2012, at their current location at 4761 William Penn Highway.

Today, hundreds of people attend the
weekend services and small groups all over the greater Pittsburgh area. God is at work at Grace Life Church, and He continues to bless the work of our faithful congregation. At Grace Life, we believe that God is fun, so church should be also! We invite you to join us on this journey of developing fully-devoted followers of Christ!

Whoever finds God finds life!
